This is an extremely minor quality-of-life feature, but in the note taking program Obsidian (and I have to imagine in some other software as well), they have a way to specify footnotes inline:

Some text^[footnote] more text
```
is equivalent to
```
Some text[^1] more text
[^1]: footnote
```
I find this extremely useful as a faster and less verbose way to insert footnotes into my writing. This is certainly pretty low priority, but it would be nice to be able to do this in cohost as well!
