presently, silencing a post works on the branch-most post (as I understand it), meaning high-reshare content like buzzfeedesque "What X are you" can get reshared many times; having a "silence root post" option that automatically goes back to the first post in-thread and mutes it would be great; saves a bunch of clicks (useful via mobile!) and a scroll past the overly-long bio and pinned posts of whoever made the original post (and it's always an overly long bio and pinned posts)
