"Show Replies" toggle in Searches and Bookmarked Tags

Currently, if a tag has only ever been used in posts that are a reply to another post but never directly in a top-level standalone post, the feed for that tag will appear empty, because Cohost filters out reply threads unless every single post in the thread has the tag. Wherever one post in the chain doesn't have the tag, that's it, no additional replies to the post will appear in the feed for that tag, even if they have the tag.
It would be neat if it were possible to toggle this behavior so that reply chains where a later post has the tag can be seen in that tag's feed.
I can imagine this being abused to make posts show up in tag feeds they weren't intended to by replying with new tags, but this seems like a social problem more than an engineering one...
