Login module displaced by banner image on ultrawide monitors

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/116.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/6.2.3105.45

Screenshot is on Debian 12, however I was able to reproduce this on openSUSE Tumbleweed and Windows 10 22H2 as well.

It appears like the login dialogue is being displaced by the banner image on the login screen. I suspect that is because the image is set to render with an appropriate minimum size, but the preferred size is 50% of the viewport width. On  an ultrawide monitor, this causes the image to become enormous due to the fact that it increases vertical size as well to maintain the aspect ratio.

I haven't looked at the styling but I imagine truncating the image once the vertical height is larger than the vh would fix this issue.

It's always the damn ultrawide users causing styling problems, I know.
