Unable to center-align images in Profile Description

Currently no known way to center or otherwise align images in profile descriptions, at least that I can find.
Have seen others recommend using tables, which works with text, but does not seem to work with images.
Attached images: Adding an image with Markdown, showing left-alignment. Then trying to center it with a table, still left-aligned (tried |:-:| and |-|, both same effect). Unsure if intended behavior or not, but wanted to post bug just in case it's not. Thanks!
