the post or comment still exists and can be interacted with by others, generating phantom notifications. but afaik neither I nor the OP are capable of interacting with it anymore while everyone else on the site, as well as logged-out users, will still see it
this is unusual/unexpected behavior, as i couldn't delete or edit the post even if i tried, but that would be the expected remedy from a report (or even if i just felt bad about it)
