Avatars have a fairly strict 200mb limit, but it appears that they don't support the WebP format. WebP provides the best quality-to-size ratio among widely-supported image formats, and is supported elsewhere in Cohost, so it would be very nice if it were supported in avatars as well.
(In case it's intended to be supported: I've tried uploading it and no avatar appears in my profile afterwards.

Never mind—it turns out this is just a bug where my avatar doesn't show up on the editing screen, regardless of which format I use. It still works if I save my profile.
