Maybe due to banner blindness but for the longest time I wasn't aware of this checkbox.
Possibly when reworking the posting page to enable "lock comments" and "lock shares" at post creation, all of these options can be present near the post button.
Assumes a workflow where the user has created their content and is prepared to make a conscious decision on how it should be handled.
