@ links don't work in the same paragraph as a markdown link

Linking to someone's profile with an @ (e.g. @FaeAlchemist) doesn't work in a paragraph with a markdown link (e.g. [Cohost](cohost.org) ). It doesn't matter which comes first, or if there is a gap between the two. @ links and markdown links can coexist in the same chost in different paragraphs.
