Ifwhen we get the ability to hide repeat versions of one post from our timeline, I feel like there's two additions you could make.
1) temporarily mute posts. I feel like muting a post would feel very drastic and a little mean- it's not like I never want to see this again! It's just a little much Right Now when everyone's posting it
2) 'hide repeat' vs 'hide unique'. The ability to mute repeats of a post unless someone shares and adds something- distinguishing those two types of shares from each other in the setting would be nice

I like the idea of a temporary mute in particular, usually when a post gets shared a lot then muting it forever seems a bit drastic. I only really want to mute that kind of repeated post until the initial reblog swarm dies down.
