Sign Up Button not working, not even an email until I submitted a bug report

Been trying for a few days to set up an account. Problem is after doing everything asked, including the captcha, the pages refreshes after clicking the sign up button on the sign up page. This causes the page to sort of reset.
All my info is still as I typed and picked it, but I have to redo the captcha. The button is also no longer active this point, and I never got an email on any attempt until I reporting the bug with the button on the left side of the page to make this forum account.
I'm guessing the twitter flood is causing a lot of back end problems but not even being able to get in line has been bugging me, and I didn't know how else to deal with the issue.
Took a shot of the button after refresh, no longer active.
